सैरन्ध्युवाच तस्मिज्जीवति पापिष्ठे सेनावाहे मम द्विषि
sairandhryuvāca tasmiñ jīvati pāpiṣṭhe senāvāhe mama dviṣi
ไซรันธรีกล่าวว่า “ตราบใดที่คนชั่วช้าที่สุดนั้น—ศัตรูของข้า ผู้เป็นแม่ทัพแห่งกองทัพ—ยังมีชีวิตอยู่…”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The line highlights the moral urgency felt by the wronged: as long as a grievously unjust aggressor remains unpunished, the wound to honor and dharma feels unresolved. It frames retribution not as mere anger but as a demand for justice against blatant wrongdoing.
Sairandhrī (Draupadī, living incognito in Virāṭa’s court) speaks about her enemy—the army-commander who has wronged her—declaring that as long as that wicked man lives, her grievance remains active and unresolved.
