द्रौपद्याः भीमसेन-प्रबोधनम्
Draupadī Awakens Bhīmasena
वैशम्पायन उवाच स तामभिप्रेक्ष्य विशालनेत्रां जिधघृक्षमाण: परिभर्त्सयन्तीम् जग्राह तामुत्तरवस्त्रदेशे स कीचकस्तां सहसा5$क्षिपन्तीम्,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--राजन्! बड़े-बड़े नेत्रोंवाली द्रौपदीको इस प्रकार फटकारती देख कीचकने उसे पकड़ लेनेकी इच्छा की; किंतु वह सहसा झटका देकर पीछेकी ओर हटने लगी; इतनेमें ही झपटकर कीचकने उसके दुपट्टेका छोर पकड़ लिया
vaiśampāyana uvāca | sa tām abhiprekṣya viśālanetrāṃ jighṛkṣamāṇaḥ paribhartsayantīm | jagrāha tām uttaravastradeśe sa kīcakas tāṃ sahasākṣipantīm ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา! ครั้นเห็นเทราปทีผู้มีดวงตากว้างใหญ่กำลังตำหนิเขาอย่างรุนแรง กีจกะผู้ถูกตัณหาครอบงำและใคร่จะฉุดฉวยนาง ก็พลันคว้าชายผ้าส่วนบนของนางไว้ นางรีบสะบัดเพื่อหลุดและถอยหนี แต่ในชั่วขณะนั้นเองเขาก็พุ่งเข้าคว้าปลายผ้าคลุมของนางไว้แน่น”
