वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined speech and self-control: even when distressed, Draupadī restrains herself and remains silent upon seeing Yudhiṣṭhira ready to speak, reflecting dharmic prudence in a precarious situation.
In the Virāṭa episode, Draupadī—under strain—sighs and stands with her face lowered. Noticing Yudhiṣṭhira about to address her or the situation, she chooses silence, allowing him to take the lead.
