Educational Q&A

Even in hardship, one should uphold dharma through honest, non-harmful work and use one’s gains for the welfare of dependents; Arjuna’s conduct models restraint, responsibility, and support of his brothers without resorting to exploitation.

During the Pāṇḍavas’ incognito stay, Arjuna—working within the palace’s inner quarters—obtains old but valuable garments, sells them, and gives the proceeds to all the Pāṇḍavas to help maintain them during their concealed exile.
