ततः स पुरुषव्यात्र: शार्ट्लशिथिलश्चरन् । प्रविवेश महारजं विराटम भिपूजयन्,तदनन्तर पुरुषसिंह भीमने सिंहके समान धीमी चालसे चलते हुए राजा विराटका मान रखनेके लिये उस विशाल रंगभूमिमें प्रवेश किया
tataḥ sa puruṣavyāghraḥ śāṭulaśithilaś caran praviveśa mahāraṅgaṃ virāṭam abhipūjayan
แล้วภีม ผู้เป็นพยัคฆ์ท่ามกลางมนุษย์ ก็ย่างก้าวด้วยท่วงท่าช้าและผ่อนคลายดุจสิงห์ เข้าสู่สังเวียนอันใหญ่หลวง เพื่อถวายเกียรติแด่พระราชาวิราฏะและธำรงระเบียบแห่งราชสำนัก
