Book 3, Chapter 42

पप्रच्छ मातलिं प्रीत्या स चाप्येनममुवाच ह । एते सुकृतिन:ः पार्थ स्वेषु धिष्ण्येष्ववस्थिता:

papraccha mātaliṁ prītyā sa cāpy enam amuvāca ha | ete sukṛtinaḥ pārtha sveṣu dhiṣṇyeṣv avasthitāḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—อรชุนถามมาตลีด้วยความเอ็นดู; มาตลีก็ตอบเขาว่า—“โอ้ ปารถะ คนเหล่านี้เป็นผู้มีบุญกุศล ต่างสถิตอยู่ ณ ตำแหน่งสวรรค์ที่กำหนดไว้ของตนๆ”
