तमापततन्तं संक्रुद्धं पुनरेव युयुत्सया । अभिदुद्राव सौमित्रिर्विभीषणमते स्थित:,उसे क्रोधमें भरकर पुनः युद्धकी इच्छासे आते देख विभीषणकी सम्मतिसे लक्ष्मणने उसपर धावा किया
tam āpatatantaṃ saṃkruddhaṃ punar eva yuyutsayā | abhidudrāva saumitrir vibhīṣaṇamate sthitaḥ ||
มารกัณฑेयกล่าวว่า ครั้นเห็นเขาพุ่งกลับมาอีกครั้งด้วยโทสะและใคร่จะรบซ้ำ สุมิตรี (ลักษมณะ) ผู้ยึดตามคำปรึกษาของวิภีษณะ ก็พุ่งเข้าประจัญหน้าเขาโดยตรง
