vyādha (the hunter-teacher)

Educational Q&A

When a person becomes inwardly steady, the mental dualities (especially attachment and aversion) lose their force and settle down; as a result, moral and practical clarity arises, and doubt no longer disturbs the heart.

The vyādha (hunter) continues his instruction on dharma, describing the inner transformation of one who has attained composure: conflicting impulses quiet down and the mind becomes free from uncertainty.
