The Origin of the Five-Colored Fiery Being and Ritual-Disruptor Lineages

Educational Q&A

Freedom from attachment (nivṛtta-bandha) and inner purity (viśuddha) are decisive; when actions are performed without binding attachment, they lead to meritorious states and a sorrowless condition rather than further bondage.

In the Vyādha’s instruction on dharma, he explains to his listener that one need not abandon action itself; a person who has cut inner bonds and become purified can still act and yet attain auspicious realms where grief does not arise.
