परुषं च न भाषन्ते सदा सन््तो द्विजप्रिया: । जो समस्त प्राणियोंपर दया करते, सदा अहिंसा-धर्मके पालनमें तत्पर रहते और कभी किसीसे कटु वचन नहीं बोलते, ऐसे संत सदा समस्त द्विजोंके प्रिय होते हैं
paruṣaṃ ca na bhāṣante sadā santaḥ dvijapriyāḥ |
ผู้มีคุณธรรม ผู้เป็นที่รักของเหล่าทวิชะอยู่เสมอ ย่อมไม่กล่าววาจาหยาบคาย. ผู้ใดมีเมตตาต่อสรรพชีวิต ตั้งมั่นในธรรมแห่งอหิงสา และไม่เปล่งถ้อยคำขมขื่น—ผู้นั้นย่อมเป็นที่รักของบัณฑิตและผู้ทรงธรรมเสมอ.
