ब्राह्मणानुयात्रा—शौनकोपदेशः

Brāhmaṇas Follow into Exile and Śaunaka’s Instruction

मानसेन हि दुःखेन शरीरमुपतप्यते । अय:पिण्डेन तप्तेन कुम्भसंस्थमिवोदकम्‌

mānasena hi duḥkhena śarīram upatapyate | ayaḥpiṇḍena taptena kumbhasaṃstham ivodakam ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “เมื่อความโศกเกิดขึ้นในใจ กายก็พลอยถูกแผดเผาไปด้วย—ดุจน้ำที่อยู่ในหม้อ ย่อมร้อนขึ้นเมื่อก้อนเหล็กที่เผาจนแดงถูกหย่อนลงไป”
