Educational Q&A

This is a colophon marking the end of a chapter; its implicit lesson is structural and ethical: the epic frames martial success as part of a disciplined, dharma-oriented journey during exile, where encounters and alliances (such as Arjuna’s meeting) are narrated as meaningful steps within a larger righteous purpose.

The narrator, Vaiśampāyana, signals that the 165th chapter—focused on Arjuna’s meeting and situated within the Nivātakavaca battle section of the Vana Parva—has concluded.
