विस्मयश्चैव मे वीर सुमहान्‌ मनसोउद्य वै । यद्‌ रामस्त्वयि पार्श्रस्थे स्वयं रावणमभ्यगात्‌,“वीर! आज मेरे मनमें इस बातको लेकर बड़ा आश्चर्य हो रहा है कि आपके निकट रहते हुए भी भगवान्‌ श्रीरामने स्वयं ही रावणका सामना किया

Transliteration

vismayaś caiva me vīra sumahān manasodya vai | yad rāmas tvayi pārśvasthaḥ svayaṁ rāvaṇam abhyagāt ||

Translation

โอ้วีรบุรุษ วันนี้ความพิศวงอันใหญ่หลวงบังเกิดในใจข้าพเจ้า—ทั้งที่ท่านยืนอยู่เคียงข้าง แต่พระรามกลับเสด็จออกไปเผชิญหน้าราวณะด้วยพระองค์เอง
