कौरव: सोमवंशीय: कुन्त्या गर्भेण धारित: । पाण्डवो वायुतनयो भीमसेन इति श्रुत:,मेरा परिचय इस प्रकार है--मैं चन्द्रवंशी क्षत्रिय हूँ। मेरा जन्म कुरुकुलमें हुआ है। माता कुन्तीने मुझे गर्भमें धारण किया था। मैं वायुपुत्र पाण्डव हूँ। मेरा नाम भीमसेन है

Transliteration

kauravaḥ somavaṁśīyaḥ kuntyā garbheṇa dhāritaḥ | pāṇḍavo vāyutanayo bhīmasena iti śrutaḥ ||

Translation

ภีมเสนกล่าวว่า “เราคือกุรุวงศ์ฝ่ายเการพ แห่งราชวงศ์จันทรา ถือกำเนิดจากครรภ์ของกุนตี อีกทั้งเรายังเป็นปาณฑพ—โอรสแห่งพระวายุ—เป็นที่รู้จักนามว่า ภีมเสน”
