Gandhamādana-praveśa and the Sudden Storm (गन्धमादनप्रवेशः — चण्डवातवर्षवर्णनम्)
सा वै व्यथितसर्वाज्डी भारेणाक्रान्तचेतना । नारायणं वरं देवं प्रपन्ना शरणं गता,भारी भारके कारण पृथ्वी देवीके सम्पूर्ण अंगोंमें बड़ी पीड़ा हो रही थी। उसकी चेतना लुप्त होती जा रही थी। अतः वह सर्वश्रेष्ठ देवता भगवान् नारायणकी शरणमें गयी
sā vai vyathita-sarvāṅgī bhāreṇākrānta-cetanā | nārāyaṇaṁ varaṁ devaṁ prapannā śaraṇaṁ gatā ||
ด้วยภาระอันหนักหน่วง เทวีปฐพีปวดร้าวไปทั่วสรรพางค์ และจิตสำนึกก็ถูกกดทับด้วยน้ำหนักนั้น ครั้นแล้วนางจึงน้อมตนเข้าสู่ที่พึ่ง—ยอมสยบต่อพระนารายณ์ ผู้เป็นเทพสูงสุด
