मया द्वात्राहितं ब्रह्म तप आस्थाय दारुणम्‌ | पुत्रार्थ तव राजर्षे महाबलपराक्रम,तब भगवान्‌ च्यवनने कहा--“महान्‌ बल और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न राजर्षि युवनाश्व! यह तुमने ठीक नहीं किया। इस कलभमें मैंने तुम्हें ही पुत्र प्रदान करनेके लिये तपस्यासे संस्कारयुक्त किया हुआ जल रखा था और कठोर तपस्या करके उसमें ब्रह्मतेजकी स्थापना की थी

mayā dvātrāhitaṃ brahma tapa āsthāya dāruṇam | putrārthaṃ tava rājarṣe mahābala-parākrama ||

โอ้ราชฤๅษีผู้ทรงมหาพละและมหาวีรยศ เพื่อประโยชน์แห่งบุตรของท่าน เราได้อาศัยตบะอันรุนแรง แล้วสถาปนาพรหมเตชไว้ในน้ำนั้น
