Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic discipline: a righteous leader accepts auspicious rites, follows a teacher’s instructions without negligence, and undertakes purification with reverence—showing humility and steadiness rather than impulsive action.

After receiving svasti-invocations (auspicious benedictions), Yudhiṣṭhira goes to the ocean as part of the prescribed observances; having completed the instructed procedures, he proceeds to Mount Mahendra and stays there overnight.
