अथो धनंजयं ब्रूया नित्योद्युक्ते वृकोदरम् । यदर्थ क्षत्रिया सूते तस्य कालोडयमागत:,“श्रीकृष्ण! तुम अर्जुन तथा युद्धके लिये सदा उद्यत रहनेवाले भीमसेनसे कहना कि क्षत्राणी जिस प्रयोजनके लिये पुत्र उत्पन्न करती है, उसे पूरा करनेका यह समय आ गया है
atho dhanañjayaṃ brūyā nityodyukte vṛkodaram | yadartha kṣatriyā sūte tasya kālo ’yam āgataḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— “แล้วจงไปบอกธนัญชัย (อรชุน) และวฤโกทร (ภีม) ผู้พร้อมลงมืออยู่เสมอว่า: บัดนี้กาลได้มาถึงแล้วที่จะบรรลุจุดหมายอันเดียวกันนั้น ซึ่งเป็นเหตุให้สตรีกษัตริย์ให้กำเนิดบุตรชาย”
