अम्मिंक्षेदागते काले मिथ्या चातिक्रमिष्यति । लोकसम्भाविता: सन्त: सुनृशंसं करिष्यथ,“यदि ऐसा समय आनेपर भी तुम युद्ध नहीं करोगे तो यह व्यर्थ बीत जायगा। तुमलोग इस जगत्के सम्मानित पुरुष हो। यदि तुम कोई अत्यन्त घृणित कर्म कर डालोगे तो उस नृशंस कर्मसे युक्त होनेके कारण मैं तुम्हें सदाके लिये त्याग दूँगी। पुत्रो! तुम्हें तो समय आनेपर अपने प्राणोंको भी त्याग देनेके लिये उद्यत रहना चाहिये
ammiṁkṣed āgate kāle mithyā cātikramiṣyati | lokasambhāvitāḥ santaḥ sunṛśaṁsaṁ kariṣyatha |
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— “เมื่อกาลอันควรมาแล้ว หากพวกเจ้าก็ยังไม่ลงมือ กาลนั้นย่อมผ่านไปโดยเปล่าประโยชน์ พวกเจ้าเป็นบุรุษผู้โลกยกย่อง; หากพวกเจ้ากระทำการอันโหดเหี้ยมและน่าอัปยศอย่างยิ่ง แล้วเพราะมัวหมองด้วยความทารุณนั้น เราจักละทิ้งพวกเจ้าไปชั่วกาลนาน บุตรเอ๋ย เมื่อถึงเวลา จงพร้อมแม้กระทั่งสละชีวิต”
