Reconciling Contingency and Human Effort

भीमसेन उवाच अन्यथा मां चिकीर्षन्तमन्यथा मन्यसे<च्युत । प्रणीतभावमत्यर्थ युधि सत्यपराक्रमम्‌

bhīmasena uvāca anyathā māṁ cikīrṣantam anyathā manyase 'cyuta | praṇīta-bhāvam atyarthaṁ yudhi satya-parākramam ||

ภีมเสนะกล่าวว่า “โอ อจยุตะ! ท่านตั้งใจจะจัดการกับข้าด้วยวิธีหนึ่ง แต่กลับคิดถึงข้าไปอีกอย่างหนึ่ง ท่านเห็นว่าข้ายอมตามเกินไปและชักนำได้โดยง่าย—ทั้งที่ในสนามรบวีรภาพของข้านั้นจริงแท้และไม่เคยพลาด”
