Dvārakāyāṃ Sāhāyya-vibhāgaḥ (Alliance Allocation at Dvārakā) / उद्योगपर्व अध्याय ७

सारथ्य॑ं तु त्वया कार्यमिति मे मानसं सदा । चिररात्रेप्सितं काम॑ तद्‌ भवान्‌ कर्तुमहति,मेरे मनमें बहुत दिनोंसे यह अभिलाषा थी कि आपको अपना सारथि बनाऊँ--अपने जीवनरथकी बागडोर आपके हाथोंमें सौंप दूँ। मेरी इस चिरकालिक अभिलाषाको आप पूर्ण करें

sārathyaṁ tu tvayā kāryam iti me mānasaṁ sadā | cirarātrepsitaṁ kāmaṁ tad bhavān kartum arhati ||

อรชุนทูลว่า “พระองค์ต้องทรงเป็นสารถีของข้า—นี่คือปณิธานที่มั่นคงในใจข้ามาเนิ่นนาน ความปรารถนาที่ข้าทะนุถนอมไว้ยาวนาน ผ่านคืนแล้วคืนเล่า ขอพระองค์ทรงเมตตาโปรดทำให้สำเร็จเถิด”
