Dvārakāyāṃ Sāhāyya-vibhāgaḥ (Alliance Allocation at Dvārakā) / उद्योगपर्व अध्याय ७

भवांस्तु कीर्तिमॉल्लोके तद्‌ यशस्त्वां गमिष्यति । यशसां चाहमप्यर्थी तस्मादसि मया वृत:,परंतु आप संसारमें यशस्वी हैं। आप जहाँ भी रहेंगे, वह यश आपका ही अनुसरण करेगा। मुझे भी यशकी इच्छा है ही; इसीलिये मैंने आपका वरण किया है

bhavāṁstu kīrtimāṁl loke tad yaśas tvāṁ gamiṣyati | yaśasāṁ cāham apy arthī tasmād asi mayā vṛtaḥ ||

อรชุนทูลว่า “แต่พระองค์ทรงมีเกียรติยศเลื่องลือในโลก ไม่ว่าพระองค์จะประทับ ณ ที่ใด ยศนั้นย่อมติดตามพระองค์ไป ข้าเองก็ปรารถนายศศักดิ์เช่นกัน เพราะเหตุนั้นข้าจึงเลือกพระองค์”
