Udyoga Parva Adhyāya 58 — Saṃjaya’s Audience and Kṛṣṇa’s Deterrent Counsel (संजय-प्रवेशः कृष्णवाक्यं च)
ऊर्ध्वरेखातलौ पादौ पार्थस्य शुभलक्षणौ । पादपीठादपदह्तौ तत्रापश्यमहं शुभौ
ūrdhvarekhātalau pādau pārthasya śubhalakṣaṇau | pādapīṭhād apadahatau tatrāpaśyam ahaṃ śubhau ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—ที่นั่นข้าพเจ้าเห็นเท้าทั้งสองของปารถะอันมีลักษณะเป็นมงคล ฝ่าเท้ามีเส้นพาดขึ้นด้านบนและฝ่าเท้าเรียบเสมอ เมื่อวางอยู่บนแท่นรองเท้าก็มิได้บอบช้ำ ข้าพเจ้าจึงได้เห็นเท้าคู่อันเป็นสิริมงคลนั้น
