Educational Q&A

A student who lives with restraint and service in the teacher’s house gains comprehensive well-being; disciplined learning becomes the root of later prosperity, honor, and the ability to inspire others toward brahmacarya.

Sanatsujāta is instructing (in the Udyoga Parva discourse) on the fruits of proper brahmacarya: the well-trained student prospers, later attains family and reputation, and becomes a center that attracts others seeking disciplined study.
