अध्याय ३९: विदुरेण धृतराष्ट्राय नीत्युपदेशः

धृतराष्ट उवाच एवमेतद्‌ यथा त्वं मामनुशाससि नित्यदा । ममापि च मति: सौम्य भवत्येवं यथा55तथ माम्‌

dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca evam etad yathā tvaṁ mām anuśāsasi nityadā | mamāpi ca matiḥ saumya bhavaty evaṁ yathā tathā mām ||

ธฤตราษฏระตรัสว่า “เป็นดังที่เจ้ากล่าวจริง เพราะเจ้ามักสั่งสอนเราเช่นนี้เสมอ โอ้ผู้สุภาพอ่อนโยน ความเข้าใจของเราก็คล้อยตาม จนเรายอมรับสิ่งทั้งหลายตามที่เป็นจริง”
