Bhīṣma’s Account of the Strategic Engagement with Rāma Jāmadagnya
जामदग्न्येन मे युद्धमिदं परमदारुणम् | अहानि च बहुन्यद्य वर्तते सुमहात्ययम्,आज बहुत दिन हो गये, जमदग्निनन्दन परशुरामजीके साथ यह मेरा अत्यन्त भयंकर और महान् अनिष्टकारक युद्ध चल रहा है
jāmadagnyena me yuddham idaṃ paramadāruṇam | ahāni ca bahūny adya vartate sumahātyayam ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ศึกของเรากับชามทัคนยะ (ปรศุราม) นี้น่าสะพรึงกลัวยิ่งนัก แม้กาลเวลาจะล่วงเลยมาหลายวันแล้ว แต่ถึงวันนี้ก็ยังดำเนินอยู่—นำพามหันตภัยอันใหญ่หลวงมาด้วย”
