लोकस्तं वेद यदहं पितु: प्रियचिकीर्षया । प्राप्तं राज्यं परित्यज्य ब्रह्म॒चर्यव्रते स्थित:,सारा जगत्‌ यह जानता है कि मैं मिले हुए राज्यको पिताका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे ठुकराकर ब्रह्मचर्यके पालनमें दृढ़तापूर्वक लग गया

lokas taṃ veda yad ahaṃ pituḥ priyacikīrṣayā | prāptaṃ rājyaṃ parityajya brahmacaryavrate sthitaḥ ||

โลกทั้งปวงย่อมรู้ว่า ด้วยปรารถนาจะกระทำสิ่งอันเป็นที่รักแก่บิดา เราจึงสละราชสมบัติที่ได้มา และตั้งมั่นแน่วแน่ในพรตพรหมจรรย์
