मयापि हि महाबाहो त्वत्प्रियार्थ महाहवे

Transliteration

mayāpi hi mahābāho tvatpriyārthaṃ mahāhave |

Translation

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “โอ้ผู้มีกรแข็งแกร่ง ครั้นแลเห็นเค้าลางแห่งมหาสงครามแต่ก่อน ข้าพเจ้าก็ได้เพียรพยายามอย่างยิ่งเพื่อสถาปนาสันติ อันเป็นไปเพื่อสิ่งที่ท่านรักยิ่ง ด้วยเหตุนั้นเราทั้งหลายก็ได้ปลดเปลื้องหนี้แห่งธรรมแล้ว บัดนี้แม้ผู้ที่ชอบชี้โทษผู้อื่น ก็ไม่อาจกล่าวโทษแก่เราได้อีก”
