निर्वादादास्पदं लब्ध्वा धनवृद्धिर्भविष्यति । धनवन्तं हि मित्राणि भजन्ते चाश्रयन्ति च,इस प्रकार शत्रुको शान्त कर देनेसे निर्भय आश्रय प्राप्त होता है। उसे प्राप्त कर लेनेपर युद्ध आदिमें न फँसनेके कारण अपने धनकी वृद्धि होती है। फिर धनसम्पन्न राजाका बहुत- से मित्र आश्रय लेते और उसकी सेवा करते हैं
nirvādād āspadaṁ labdhvā dhanavṛddhir bhaviṣyati | dhanavantaṁ hi mitrāṇi bhajante cāśrayanti ca ||
เมื่อยุติความเป็นศัตรูและได้ที่พึ่งอันปลอดภัย ทรัพย์ย่อมงอกเงย เพราะไม่ต้องติดพันสงครามและเรื่องร้อนรนทั้งหลาย ทั้งมิตรสหายย่อมคบหาและขอพึ่งพิงผู้มั่งคั่งเป็นธรรมดา.
