अनुत्थानभये चोभे निरीहो नाश्षुते महत् । संतोष, दया, उद्योगशून्यता और भय--ये सम्पत्तिका नाश करनेवाले हैं। निश्चेष्ट मनुष्य कभी कोई महत्त्वपूर्ण पद नहीं पा सकता

พระวายุตรัสว่า “ผู้ที่เฉื่อยชาและหวาดกลัวจะลุกขึ้นลงมือ ย่อมไม่บรรลุสิ่งยิ่งใหญ่ใดๆ. ความพอใจที่กลายเป็นความชะล่าใจ เมตตาที่ผิดที่ผิดทาง ความไร้ความเพียร และความกลัว—สิ่งเหล่านี้ทำลายความรุ่งเรือง. คนที่ไม่พยายาม ย่อมไม่อาจไปถึงตำแหน่งอันสำคัญได้”
