नारद उवाच
As a chapter-ending colophon, the verse chiefly teaches how the epic organizes moral instruction through discrete narrative episodes; it marks the completion of the Galava-related unit within the broader diplomatic and ethical tensions of Udyoga Parva.
The speaker’s line functions as an editorial closure: it announces that the 114th chapter—focused on Galava’s episode—has concluded within the Bhagavad-yāna section of Udyoga Parva.
