Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 5 — Karmaphala-Nirdeśa and Phalāśruti (कर्मफलनिर्देशः फलश्रुतिश्च)
एतत् ते सर्वमाख्यातं विस्तरेण महाद्ुते । कुरूणां चरितं कृत्स्नं पाण्डवानां च भारत,महातेजस्वी भरतनन्दन! यह सारा प्रसंग--कौरवों और पाण्डवोंका सम्पूर्ण चरित्र तुम्हें विस्तारके साथ बताया गया
etad te sarvam ākhyātaṁ vistareṇa mahādyute | kurūṇāṁ caritaṁ kṛtsnaṁ pāṇḍavānāṁ ca bhārata ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “โอ ภารตะผู้รุ่งเรืองด้วยเดชอันยิ่งใหญ่ บัดนี้เราได้เล่าแก่ท่านโดยพิสดารและครบถ้วนแล้ว ถึงประวัติและความประพฤติทั้งสิ้นของวงศ์กุรุ และของเหล่าปาณฑพด้วย”
