तोषयित्वा महादेवं पर्वते गन्धमादने । अस्त्राणि वरयामास परशुं चातितेजसम्‌,परशुरामजीने गन्धमादन पर्वतपर महादेवजीको संतुष्ट करके उनसे अनेक प्रकारके अस्त्र और अत्यन्त तेजस्वी कुठार प्राप्त किये

toṣayitvā mahādevaṃ parvate gandhamādane | astrāṇi varayāmāsa paraśuṃ cātitejasam ||

เมื่อทรงยังมหาเทวะให้พอพระทัย ณ เขาคันธมาทนะแล้ว พระองค์ก็ได้รับอาวุธนานาประการ และยังได้ขวานศักดิ์สิทธิ์ (ปรศุ) อันรุ่งโรจน์ยิ่งเป็นพิเศษด้วย
