कुक्षिनाम्ने स प्रददौ दिशां पालाय धर्मिणे | ततोअप्यन्तर्दधे भूयो नारायणमुखोद्भव:
kukṣināmne sa pradadau diśāṃ pālāya dharmiṇe | tato 'py antardadhe bhūyo nārāyaṇamukhodbhavaḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “เขาได้ถ่ายทอดคำสอนนั้นแก่ผู้พิทักษ์ทิศผู้ทรงธรรม นามว่า กุกษิ แต่ถึงกระนั้น ‘สาตวตธรรม’ อันกำเนิดจากพระโอษฐ์ของนารายณ์ ก็ยังกลับอันตรธานเลือนหายไปอีกครั้ง”
