Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)

यास्को मामृषिरव्यग्रो नैकयज्ञेषु गीतवान्‌ | शिपिविष्ट इति हास्माद्‌ गुह्नामधरो हाहम्‌,यास्कमुनिने शान्तचित्त होकर अनेक यज्ञोंमें शिपिविष्ट कहकर मेरी महिमाका गान किया है; अतः मैं इस गुह्मननामको धारण करता हूँ

yāsko mām ṛṣir avyagro naikayajñeṣu gītavān | śipiviṣṭa iti hāsmād guhyānām adharo hy aham ||

ฤๅษียาสกะ ผู้มีจิตไม่ฟุ้งซ่าน ได้ขับขานสรรเสริญมหิมาของข้าในพิธีบูชามากมาย โดยเรียกข้าว่า “ศิปิวిషฏะ (Śipiviṣṭa)”; เพราะเหตุนั้นข้าจึงทรงไว้ซึ่งนามลับนี้ และในหมู่นามอันเร้นลับทั้งหลาย ข้าคือผู้เป็นใหญ่.
