धृत्या शिक्षोदरं रक्षेत्‌ पाणिपादं च चक्षुषा । चक्षु:श्रोत्रे च मनसा मनो वाचं च विद्यया

dhṛtyā śikṣodaraṃ rakṣet pāṇipādaṃ ca cakṣuṣā | cakṣuḥśrotre ca manasā mano vācaṃ ca vidyayā ||

ด้วยความมั่นคงพึงข่มท้องและแรงผลักแห่งความอยากกิน; ด้วยความระวังพึงคุ้มครองมือและเท้าไม่ให้ล่วงสู่กรรมอันผิด. ด้วยใจพึงกำกับตาและหู; และด้วยวิชชาอันแท้จริงพึงฝึกใจและวาจาให้มีวินัย.
