Śukasya Janma-yoga-phalaṁ — Vyāsasya Tapasā Putrārthaḥ (Śānti-parva 310)
अज्ञानात् परिपृच्छामि त्वं हि ज्ञानमयो निधि: । तदहं श्रोतुमिच्छामि सर्वमेतदसंशयम्
ajñānāt paripṛcchāmi tvaṁ hi jñānamayo nidhiḥ | tad ahaṁ śrotum icchāmi sarvam etad asaṁśayam ||
ด้วยความไม่รู้ ข้าพเจ้าจึงทูลถาม; ท่านเป็นดุจขุมทรัพย์แห่งญาณ. เพราะฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าปรารถนาจะฟังทั้งหมดนี้จากท่านโดยปราศจากข้อกังขา เพื่อให้ความสงสัยทั้งปวงสิ้นไป.
