जब ब्रह्माजीने इस प्रकार कहा और यज्ञमें भाग मिलनेकी भी व्यवस्था हो गयी, तब महादेवजी अमिततेजस्वी भगवान् ब्रह्मासे इस प्रकार बोले--“तथास्तु' ऐसा ही हो ।। परां च प्रीतिमगमदुत्स्मयंश्चव॒ पिनाकधृक् । अवाप च तदा भागं यथोत्तं ब्रह्मणा भव:
tathāstu—ity evaṃ bhavatu. parāṃ ca prītim agamad utsmayan caiva pinākadhṛk | avāpa ca tadā bhāgaṃ yathoktaṃ brahmaṇā bhavaḥ ||
ครั้นมหาเทพตรัสว่า “ตถาสตุ” แล้ว ก็ทรงบังเกิดความปีติยิ่งนัก ผู้ทรงคันศรปิณากะคือภวะ (ศิวะ) แย้มสรวล และในกาลนั้นเองก็ได้รับส่วนยัญตามที่พรหมได้กำหนดไว้
