एतत्‌ फलं जापकानां गतिकश्नैषा प्रकीर्तिता । यथाश्रुतं महाराज कि भूय: श्रोतुमिच्छसि,महाराज! मैंने जैसा सुना था, उसके अनुसार जापकोंको मिलनेवाले इस उत्तम फल और गतिका वर्णन किया। अब तुम और क्‍या सुनना चाहते हो?

etat phalaṁ jāpākānāṁ gatiś ca eṣā prakīrtitā | yathāśrutaṁ mahārāja kiṁ bhūyaḥ śrotum icchasi ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่มหาราชา นี่คือผลของผู้ประกอบชปะ และนี่คือคติที่ประกาศไว้สำหรับเขาทั้งหลาย. ข้าพเจ้าได้เล่าตามที่ได้ยินมาแล้ว; พระองค์ยังประสงค์จะทรงสดับสิ่งใดอีก?”
