This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it primarily identifies the textual location and signals the completion of a chapter within Mokṣadharma, a section broadly devoted to liberation-oriented dharma—inner discipline, renunciation, and contemplative practice.
Bhīṣma’s extended instruction in Śānti Parva proceeds through many sub-episodes (upākhyānas). Here the text marks the end of the two-hundredth chapter, specifically within the Jāpaka episode, indicating a transition to the next chapter or topic.
