Educational Q&A

Life presents countless triggers for sorrow and fear, but their power depends on one’s discernment: the deluded are repeatedly overwhelmed, while the wise remain steady through understanding and self-control.

A brāhmaṇa delivers an instructive maxim in the Śānti Parva’s didactic setting, contrasting the mental vulnerability of the mūḍha with the composure of the paṇḍita amid inevitable worldly causes of anxiety.
