Śānti-parva 168: Śoka-nivṛtti-buddhi (The Cognition that Reduces Grief) and Piṅgalā’s Nairāśya

स चापि तान्‌ धर्मसुतो महामना- स्तदा प्रतीतान्‌ प्रशशंस वीर्यवान्‌ | पुनश्न पप्रच्छ सरिद्वरासुतं ततः परं धर्ममहीनचेतसम्‌

sa cāpi tān dharmasuto mahāmanās tadā pratītān praśaśaṁsa vīryavān | punaś ca papraccha saridvarāsutaṁ tataḥ paraṁ dharmam ahīnacetasaḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— ครั้นนั้น ยุธิษฐิระ โอรสแห่งธรรม ผู้มีใจสูงและทรงเดช ก็กล่าวสรรเสริญบรรดากษัตริย์และญาติผู้ไว้วางใจเหล่านั้น. แล้วด้วยจิตใจกว้างขวางและไม่หวั่นไหว เขาเข้าไปหา ภีษมะ โอรสแห่งสายน้ำอันประเสริฐอีกครั้ง และทูลถามถึงธรรมะที่สูงยิ่งและประณีตกว่าเดิม.
