स कदाचित् प्रसार्यव तां ग्रीवां शतयोजनाम् । चचार श्रान्तहृदयो वातश्नचागात् ततो महान्,एक समयकी बात है, वह अपनी सौ योजन लंबी गर्दन फैलाकर चर रहा था, उसका मन चरनेसे कभी थकता ही नहीं था। इतनेमें ही बड़े जोरसे हवा चलने लगी
sa kadācit prasārya vā tāṁ grīvāṁ śatayojanām | cacāra śrāntahṛdayo vātaś ca agāt tato mahān ||
ครั้งหนึ่งมันเหยียดคอซึ่งยาวร้อยโยชน์ออกไปแล้วเล็มหญ้าไปมา ใจของมันไม่รู้เหน็ดเหนื่อยในการกิน แต่แล้วในขณะนั้นเอง ลมใหญ่ก็พัดกระหน่ำขึ้นอย่างรุนแรง
