भूत्वा च न भवत्येतदभूत्वा च भविष्यति । शोके न हाूस्ति सामर्थ्य शोकं॑ कुर्यात् कथंचन,यह राजलक्ष्मी होकर भी नहीं रहती और जिनके पास नहीं होती, उनके पास आ जाती है; परंतु शोककी सामर्थ्य नहीं है कि वह गयी हुई सम्पत्तिको लौटा लावे; अत: किसी तरह भी शोक नहीं करना चाहिये
Translation
ราชลักษมีนี้แม้ได้มาแล้วก็ไม่ตั้งอยู่ และผู้ที่ไม่มีอยู่ก็อาจได้มาครอบครอง โศกเศร้าไม่มีอำนาจจะนำทรัพย์ที่สูญไปกลับคืนมาได้ เพราะฉะนั้นไม่ควรโศกเศร้าไม่ว่ากรณีใด
