इष्टापूर्तेन दानेन धर्मेण सुकृतेन च । अद्याहं सर्वपञ्चालान् वासुदेवस्य पश्यत:
iṣṭāpūrtena dānena dharmeṇa sukṛtena ca | adyāhaṃ sarvapañcālān vāsudevasya paśyataḥ ||
“ด้วยบุญแห่งอิษฏะ–อาปูรตะ ด้วยทาน ด้วยธรรม และด้วยกุศลทั้งปวง ข้าพเจ้าขอปฏิญาณว่า วันนี้ต่อหน้าพระเนตรของวาสุเทพ ข้าพเจ้าจะใช้ทุกวิถีทางส่งชาวปัญจาลทั้งสิ้นไปยังแดนพระยม”
