ते हि सर्वे महात्मानश्वत्वारोडतिरथा भुवि | न शकक्‍्या धर्मतो हन्तुं लोकपालैरपि स्वयम्‌

Transliteration

te hi sarve mahātmānaś catvāro 'tirathā bhuvi | na śakyā dharmato hantuṁ lokapālair api svayam ||

Translation

สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “แท้จริง นักรบผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ทั้งสี่—ภีษมะ โทฺรณะ กรรณะ และภูริศรวัส—เป็นที่เลื่องลือบนแผ่นดินว่าเป็น ‘อติรถะ’ หากต้องผูกพันอยู่กับกฎแห่งธรรมะในสงคราม แม้เหล่าโลกบาลเองก็ไม่อาจสังหารพวกเขาได้”
