Vasiṣṭhāpavāha: Sarasvatī’s Diversion and Viśvāmitra’s Curse (वसिष्ठापवाहः)
ददौ कामान् ब्राह्मुणेभ्यो यान् यान् यो मनसेच्छति । शक्तिशाली राजा ययाति जब वहाँ यज्ञ कर रहे थे
dadau kāmān brāhmaṇebhyo yān yān yo manasecchati |
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—เมื่อพระราชายยาติผู้ทรงเดชกำลังประกอบยัญพิธีอยู่ ครั้นพระสรัสวตีทอดพระเนตรเห็นพระทานอันเลิศยิ่งและความภักดีอันยั่งยืนที่พระองค์มีต่อพระนาง จึงประทานแก่พราหมณ์ผู้มาร่วมยัญพิธีนั้น ตามความปรารถนาในใจของแต่ละคน—ให้บรรดาโภคะและพรทั้งปวงอันเป็นที่ใฝ่หวัง
