ते सर्वे स्वर्गते तस्मिंस्तस्य पुत्रानपूजयन् । राजन! उन महात्मा गौतमके यजमान जो राजा लोग थे, वे सब उनके स्वर्गवासी हो जानेपर उनके पुत्रोंका ही आदर-सत्कार करने लगे
te sarve svargate tasmiṁs tasya putrān apūjayan | rājan |
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา ครั้นมหาบุรุษโคตมะเสด็จสู่สวรรค์แล้ว บรรดาพระราชาผู้เคยเป็นยชามานะ (ผู้อุปถัมภ์พิธีบูชา) ของท่าน ต่างหันไปถวายความเคารพและการต้อนรับแก่บุตรของท่านแทน”
