Aśvatthāmā’s Buddhi-Doctrine and Nocturnal Incursion Resolve (अश्वत्थाम्नः बुद्धिविचारः सौप्तिकसंकल्पश्च)
एकस्मिन्नेव पुरुषे सा सा बुद्धिस्तदा तदा । भवत्यकृतधर्मत्वात् सा तस्यैव न रोचते
ekasminneva puruṣe sā sā buddhistadā tadā | bhavatyakṛtadharmatvāt sā tasyaiva na rocate ||
ในบุรุษคนเดียวกันนั้น ความคิดย่อมแปรเปลี่ยนเป็นอย่างนั้นอย่างนี้ในแต่ละกาล; เพราะเขายังมิได้บำเพ็ญธรรมให้สำเร็จ ความคิดนั้นเองจึงไม่ตั้งมั่นและไม่เป็นที่พอใจแก่เขา
