भूतान्यन्वसृजत्‌ सप्त दक्षादींस्तु प्रजापतीन्‌ । यैरिमं व्यकरोत्‌ सर्व भूतग्रामं चतुर्विधम्‌,तब स्रष्टाने सात प्रकारके प्राणियों और दक्ष आदि प्रजापतियोंको उत्पन्न किया, जिनके द्वारा उन्होंने इस चार प्रकारके समस्त प्राणिसमुदायका विस्तार किया

bhūtāny anvasṛjat sapta dakṣādīṁs tu prajāpātīn | yair imaṁ vyakarot sarva-bhūta-grāmaṁ catur-vidham ||

แล้วผู้สร้างจึงบังเกิดหมู่ภูตทั้งเจ็ดจำพวก และยังทรงให้กำเนิดปรชาปติทั้งหลายมีทักษะเป็นต้น โดยท่านเหล่านั้นเอง พระองค์ได้ขยายหมู่สรรพสัตว์ทั้งปวงนี้ให้แผ่ไพศาลเป็นสี่หมวด
